FIRE EVACUATION MOCK DRILL

EVACUATION AND FIRE DRILL-A Fire Safety Workshop was conducted on 7th February 2024. The purpose of the workshop was to educate students and staff about fire prevention, emergency procedures, and general safety measures. The workshop was led by fire safety officials, Mr Sunil Tyagi and Mr. Inder Pal Singh, who provided knowledge and practical skills to fight a fire in the event of a fire emergency. The workshop commenced with a comprehensive presentation highlighting the common causes of fire, fire prevention tips, and the importance of having functioning smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Fire drills were conducted to familiarize participants with evacuation routes, assembly points, and designated responsibilities in the event of a fire outbreak. Teachers and students were given the opportunity to practise using fire extinguishers in a controlled environment, reinforcing the importance of remaining calm and following established protocols during emergencies. Stress was laid on the importance of knowing multiple evacuation routes and practising evacuation procedures regularly to ensure swift and safe evacuation.
